My name is Anna Hajosi, I am a Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist in New York State. I received my undergraduate degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Semmelweis University, the oldest medical school in Hungary and my Master of Science degree in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture, one of the first accredited and most highly respected acupuncture schools in the United States. Upon graduation I continued my studies in Beijing, China where I studied advanced needling techniques at the Beijing Traditional Medicine Training Center of WFAS. I am certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture® a post-graduate specialized clinical training program for acupuncturists in trauma, sports medicine and injury rehabilitation. My continuing education includes: Pilates Mat Certification from Equinox and Herbal Medicine Certification from the NYC Kampo Institute.
My treatment philosophy: I believe serious athletes push the envelope of human capacity to become stronger and faster. The athletes who learn how to do this correctly by dynamically matching training, nutrient needs and have a recovery program are ultimately the ones who succeed and who can stay at the top of their game.
My goal is to help you and those that work with you understand what it takes to become supremely conditioned for your sport and to do it in a way that lowers common activity-associated health and injury risks. Episodic injuries and illnesses are so common among athletes that many consider these problems a normal part of the athletic endeavor. But this need not be the case, and athletes who can avoid these setbacks progress more steadily toward their goals. An avid Ironman triathlete myself, I am passionate about sports medicine and dedicated to patient care. I will help you follow a sound training, nutrition and recovery program combining the ancient wisdom of Chinese, and modern, Western Medicine so you are likely to be successful and healthy. |
