Coney Island Swim Coach
Five years ago, I had this idea that I would train for an Ironman. This guy, Pablo taught me how to swim properly and even came down to Coney Island with me every Friday morning so I could get comfortable with open water swimming and practice sighting.
5:00 AM wake-up calls.
5:30 AM, we jumped on the train.
7:00 AM, I swam for 90 minutes, Pablo walked on the shore. I then headed back to work for 10:00 AM.
Thank you so much, Pablo, for all your help!

Maryland full Ironman 140.6
I put my heart into preparing for this race, and these past nine months have been eye-opening and humbling. The 2.4-mile swim initially seemed terrifying, but now feels totally doable. Your body can handle almost anything; it’s your mind you have to convince.
I was also so worried about fitting training into my already busy work schedule. Work always comes first, but somehow, everything fell into place. The mantra of the Ironman is "Anything is possible," and that’s how I want to live my life. 140.6 miles, here I come!

Cupping for runners
My quads are super sore after the 3 hilly loops in Central Park yesterday. Running 20 miles really kills...

Post run cupping: cupping improves circulation, breaks up the fascia, relieves tightness and pain therefore helps with recovery. If you are an athlete I suggest cupping 1-2x a week as part of your recovery.

Cupping, Dry Needling and Acupuncture for knee pain

Cupping for knee pain after running
Cupping, dry needling, acupuncture and strength training are all beneficial for knee pain. Iliotibial band syndrome is a condition where a tendon called the iliotibial band gets irritated or swollen from rubbing against the hip or knee bones, causing knee pain. It is usually coming from weakness in the hip, core or ankle.

Strengthening of the hip / core / ankle is usually the solution, however acupuncture, dry needling and cupping are important for symptom relief, and to fasten recovery time. Cupping, dry needling and acupuncture loosen the tight tissue, improve circulation and provide pain relief. Strength training ensures that the joints are stable and the muscles work in balance.
