Cupping, dry needling, acupuncture and strength training are all beneficial for knee pain. Iliotibial band syndrome is a condition where a tendon called the iliotibial band gets irritated or swollen from rubbing against the hip or knee bones, causing knee pain. It is usually coming from weakness in the hip, core or ankle.

Strengthening of the hip / core / ankle is usually the solution, however acupuncture, dry needling and cupping are important for symptom relief, and to fasten recovery time. Cupping, dry needling and acupuncture loosen the tight tissue, improve circulation and provide pain relief. Strength training ensures that the joints are stable and the muscles work in balance.
